A clearing bid starts with a handover condition.

Define limits, materials and acceptance before comparing bids.

Issue current documents

Send current plans, authorized clearing limits, quantity assumptions and the required finish. Identify retained areas, environmental constraints, utilities and known access restrictions.

Separate the work items

Clearing, grubbing, grading, grinding, hauling and disposal are distinct operations. A quote should make it possible to see which ones are included.

Set the sequence

Explain the required start and handover dates, other trades using the entrance and any phased releases. Return mobilizations and changes to access affect the job.

Assign responsibility

State who provides survey control, utility coordination, required authorizations, erosion controls, inspections and acceptance. The scope should describe what the next trade receives.
